In the words of the 3 Birds team, “We love food.” Many of our team building and social events revolve around delicious aromas and tantalizing tastes, and we were lucky enough to take a quick trip around the world during our International Food Festival on July 12.
Various countries were represented by each department, and although some location choices may have been questionable (Hawaii as a country?), the food was not.
Throughout the morning we all snuck a peek at the dishes in various crockpots lined up across the counter. The Mexican elotes were simmering and the refrigerator was almost too full to hold another thing. As noon inched closer and closer, the smells in the office were enough to have us all counting down the minutes to chow time.
Homemade Ecuadorian empanadas, German sauerkraut and potatoes, and tzatziki and spanakopita from Greece kicked off the party. Hawaii (a separate entity during surfing competitions) served up spam musubi, haupia, and Hawaiian pork sliders, and Italy covered its bases by bringing pizza and tiramisu. An authentic Mexican tres leches cake, cookies, and pie rounded out the dessert offerings.
In the spirit of 3 Birds, we all gathered with overflowing plates and full stomachs to spend time together cultivating our friendship, and by extension, the great atmosphere that fills our building.
Here at the corner of West Franklin and Graham, we know that it’s okay to be unapologetically different. By appreciating our unique individual talents and bringing positive energy to all that we do, we’ve created a food-loving, hard-working atmosphere where all of us can find our niche – and where our many talents come together to foster even greater successes for our clients and friends.
